Another Cyberattack. Another Insolvency.
Every day, despite all the warnings, it is sad to see yet another successful company in the news failing due to a cyberattack. It was unplanned, unscheduled, and uninvited.
I cannot stress how important it is that Leaders take this threat seriously.
Therefore, if this post comes across as being direct, that’s intentional – because this is happening to businesses too often.
A leading German company in the mobile device insurance sector, once thriving with €70M in annual revenue, 170 employees, with services available through 5,000 retail outlets, has been declared bankrupt.
The cause? A single cyberattack.
Systems were encrypted. Ransom notes arrived on every printer. A ransom was paid, yet still the business struggled to recover. The initial disruption became terminal.
You can be thankful; your business has not been affected. But it is a warning.
Cyberattacks don’t just disrupt – they dismantle.
Recovery isn’t just technical – it’s strategic.
If you wait until the crisis hits, it’s already too late.
If you don’t know how prepared you are, find out. If you’re not confident, seek help.
Resilience isn’t a checkbox – it’s a mindset. It’s layered, and it demands external perspective.
You don’t have to face this alone. But you do have to act – before your business becomes the next headline.
